An Obituary

This is an Obituary I had to do for an English assignment. It is about a nightingale who used to sing very well. Please do tell if there are any errors.

May the soul of the Nightingale rest in peace and serenity. Her melodious song, that has enlightened our hearts, will always reverberate within us. The family of the Nightingale acknowledges the sincere kindness and affection shown by her admirers and their prayers during this bereavement.

Nalini RajeevThis is an Obituary obituary

On the contrary, it is not an obituary. An obituary is a report in a newspaper that announces someone’s death and gives a short description of their life and achievements.

What you have written is an elegy. An elegy is a poem or other pie
