An Irish New York Accent

There's an Italian New York accent, Jewish and Irish. I'd guess that Anne Meara has an Irish New York accent. Possibly Art Carney? Since every time I'm watching TV and someone sounds like them, I check their names during the credits and they always have Irish last names. But perhaps it's their voices that sound the same and so it isn't the accent?
It's easier to tell the difference between the Italian and Jewish ones. Long Island is somewhat distiguishable (sp.?) to a partially trained ear sometimes.

I think you'll find that accents in New York are much more correlated with neighborhoods and social classes than with ethnicity. Jewish and Italian people from Fla

Nonsense. I'm a Long Islander and can distinguish many distinct accents from Long Island. Don't forget that Brooklyn and Queens, boroughs of New York, are on Long Island
