When I type 'an intent' MS word gives an error. Is it true that 'an intent' is wrong? But would the article be okay if there was an adjective like 'a malicious intent.'

MS Word gives all kinds of strange advice. It's not infallible by any means. Sometimes you just have to ignore it.
