An increasing percentage is being spent on nonstandard treatments, which cause little discomfort.

Question,

What does it mean " an increasing percentage " ? Do you mean only that there is only one percentage has been increase ?

What is " nonstandard treatments " ?

What does that adjective dependent clause mean " which cause little discomfort " ? cause little discomfort about what the patients who get nonstandard treatmetns ?

An increasing percentage ... spent means more and more money spent as time goes on. Maybe it was 15% two years ago, 20% last year, and 28% this year.
