An incident - a escaped snake
Please help me to correct, thanks!!
John is a 44 -year-old hardworking man. He likes animals since he was young. Now, he works as a zoo-keeper. There are many wilds animals (like tigers, elephants, giraffes and so on ) in the zoo. He takes care of them well. Every morning and evening, he feeds them some food.
One day evening, after feeding the snake, John did not locked the gate well. A snake escaped through / from the cage. It glided quickly away from the cage. Everyone was shocked and searched for it / searched it high and low for alomost one hour.
Lucikly, John saw a hole under a tree not far away. When he walked nearer, he found it in the hole. He quickly caught its head by hand . The snake struggled and tried to attack him but failed. He put it into a sack later.
He promised the head officer to be careful next time and took care of it.
