It was a Sunday evening. Peter went to a grocery shop alone. When he browsed though the shop / food section, he would like to buy a bar of chocolate. Once / As he opened his wallet, he found he did not have enough money.
There was nobody around at the shop / him. He decided to steal it at once. Just then, the shopkeeper saw it / saw the situation. He shouted at him and caught him red-handed. The angry shopkeeper wanted to send him to the police station near
by.
Peter was afraid with tears. He quickly apologized to the shopkeeper. Lucikly, the kind shopkeeper decided to let him off / go with a warning. / The kind shopkeeper decided to let him off but gave him a stern warning. Peter was ashamed (of) himself.
