An expression required

Hi

A few days ago I was reading an article on the internet (I can't find it now) and a nice expression caugt my eye. It was used at the end of the sentence to mean that:

someone has an ability/talent but s/he does not use it.

Now I don't remember that expression. Could you help me please? Any expression in your mind like this?
