An Exercise with Phrasal Prepositinal Verbs

I have to complete the sentences using the pairs of particles : on about + on with , round to + on to , in for + back to , out of + ahead with , up against + round to , in for + down as , along with + in with , up with + up for

1. I'm afraid haven't got ........... doing that report yet, but I'll get ........... it as soon as I've finished these spreadsheets.

2. I know there's no point going ............... it, but I really do not get ................. this new boss of ours.

3. I am not putting .......... this situation a moment longer - it's time I stood ............ myself!

4. I know it's too late to back .......... it now, but I'm really sorry we went .......... this agreement.

5. I'm afraid I can't go ...... this - it just doesn't fit ............ our plans.

6. We seem to be coming ....... a lot of opposition from marketing at the moment , but hpefully they'll soon come .......... our way of thinking.

8. I hear Jon's come ............. a lot of criticism from the board and may have to stand ............... chairman.
