An Einstein / Einsteins

When you say,

(1) I want to be an Einstein in the future.

I guess this means "I want to be a scientist like Einstein."

What I'd like to hear your opinions about is, if the subject is a plural, say "My students", which of the following sentences is grammatically correct, or sounds more natural.

(2a.) My students want to be Einsteins.

(2b.) My students want to be an Einstein.

I'd appreciate if you guys could make a comment on this.

Thank you

Rudy
