An eighty percent or a eighty percent

Hi

"an eighty percent " or " a eighty percent" which one is correct? I have seen people using both the forms. But I think "an eighty percent" is the correct usage. Please suggest.

However, for the other numbers, "a" would be correct:

a twenty percent
a ninety percent
a fifty percent

Eighty is the exception
