Which are correct:

1-There is an audition for me to play Hamlet.

2-He scheduled an audition for me to play Hamlet.

3-There is an audition this afternoon to play Hamlet.

4-There is an audition this afternoon for playing Hamlet.

They all seem flawed to me. I would say, for example: I am auditioning this afternoon for the part of Hamlet. There is an audition this afternoon for the part of Hamlet.

They all seem flawed to me. I would say, for example:

I am auditioning this afternoon for the part of Hamlet.
There is an audition this afternoon for the part of Hamlet.

a-There is an audition for playing Hamlet.
b-There is an audition to play Hamlet.

I don't like these much. I would say, much the same as before, "There is an audition for the part of Hamlet".
