Hi. Could you tell me whether the following senteces are possible?
1. He looked up to a painter called Frans Hals.
2. He looked up to a painter who is called Frans Hals.

As far as I know we can omit "who + be" in relative clauses, so I guess #1 and #2 are eventually same.
