Vocabulary

amply vs. sufficiently

hello,

can the two adverbs be used interchangeably? or their meaning is different?

Thank you for any help

Top answer

I don't think so. "Amply" means an overabundance, whereas "sufficiently" suggests minimal activity, or just enough.
