amplification and restatement uses of comma
Hi,
Can we use a comma for amplication and restatement purposes? I think we sure can. At the same time, it is also true that we can use a dash instead. As to the use of a comma for the purposes stated, can the structural form of the content that is placed within a pair of comma take just about any from as long as it serves the purpose? Restatement:

Amplification:

I don't understand how they can serve the purposes, can you help me to understand?
Are these, although they are not sentences that pertain to the points explored, correct?
Two dogs, both male, began to bark.

Two dogs, healthy as they could be, began to bark.

Two dogs, yellow and blue in color, began to bark. I know that yellow and blue are colours without you having to tell me. It's not wrong, it just seems a bit literary.
