AMOUNTS (countable if there is an S)

'Amount' isn't countable, but can "amount" have an S (at the end) and still be non countable?

Is the above correct grammatically by the way? "have an S"????

1 There can't be 2 different amounts. (amounts is countable here right?)

Thank you
