Amount spent on consumer goods

The bar chart compares the amount of money that the residents of four European countries spent on six different types of products, namely console games, outdoor games accessories, cosmetics, books, toys and cameras. Overall, the British was the biggest spender on all categories while the lowest spending level belonged to Belguim.

In Britain and Austria, the cost of the first three products was lower than that of the last three ones. It can be observed that the highest amount of money in these two nations was paid for cameras ( 170 million pounds in Britain and more than 165 million pounds in Austria)

On the other hand, people in Spain tended to spend relatively similar amount of money ( from 150 million to around 157 million pounds) on all of six categories. In Belguim, the amount of money paid for consumer goods ranged from approximately 145 million to 150 million pounds and there was no large gap between each type.
