Say, 10 years ago I received a payment of $100 from Party A, and NOW I am describing the amount of the payment: "The amount of the payment I received from Party A 10 years ago was $100" (past tense).
Is it possible to use the present tense "The amount of the payment I received from Party A 10 years ago is $100" (present tense)?
Why I am asking this question is that although the payment was received 10 years ago, whenever we talk about the amount of the payment, the amount always remains the same.
Thanks for your help in advance.
