Amongst

Amongst my work and home responsibilities I found I could hardly make time to visit her. Eventhough I was so near to her place my visit schedule varied from a weekly visit and it had gradually decreased to a fortnightly visit and to a monthly. Then there was a time even on Sunday I hardly got time completing my household chores. I could only pay her a quartely visit then.

Please help me to phrase the above sentence grammatically and shortly.

Top answer

Because of my work and home responsibilities, I found I could visit her less and less often, even though I lived so near her. At first I visited her every week, but eventually I was able to to see her only once in three months or so.
