among our world

Having a tough time with this one:

His epic call was heard among our world.

Im trying to say that Tarzan's call was heard within our world by many individuals. Would I use "among," "amid," or "within?" Or are all three ok?

thanks

'His epic call was heard throughout the jungle.'

Is that okay?
