Among others

Hello. Is the use 'among others' in multiple citations correct?

Examples:

Many researchers (Silva, 1990; Ramos, 1991; Tanaka, 1995; among others) dealt with the problem of the origin of life.

Silva (1990); Tanaka (1995); among others. [in a footnote]

For example: Silva (1990); Tanaka (1995); among others. [in a footnote]

Thank you!!!
