American English Word Stress in a YES/NO Question

Hi, here is a question:

Can I help you? / k?n a? h?lp ju? /

We have a verb in the question, and I think the verb should be stressed. Am I right? It's a function word.
I think the tone needs to go up at the end of a YES/NO question (without gliding down at the end like a statement). So, do I need to stress both "help" an "you"? I suppose the auxiliary + pronoun "k?n a?" should be pronounced short and fast. Am I right?
