American English and British English

Hi all,

I'm learning new words and picked up a vocabulary book that can help me. The spelling of the book is British Enligsh, but I am learning American English. Would this cause a problem? I'm not really familiar with the difference in spelling between AE and BE.

The great majority of words are spelled the same, and many of the differences follow regular patterns. org/wiki/American_and_British_English_spelling_differences Be aware that sometimes different words are used in AmE and BrE, not just different spellings.
