american english

in AE is this correct, or am I missing something?:

Have you any idea what time the next train leaves?

In my opinion sounds a little weired, but I can ‘t figure out how to make it sound better.

Thanks a lot, bye

"Have you any idea" can be fine - but it can also be taken sarcastically. "Have you any idea how long I worked on this dinner, only to have you come home and say you've already eaten?!"

Simpler is just "Excuse me - do you know what time the next train leaves?" or "Excuse me - could you tell me what time...?"

In AmE, it would be also be much more common to say "Do you have any idea ... ?" rather than "Have you any idea ...?"
