American dictionary?

My teacher said Oxford isn't good for learns of American, so what do you suggest?

com bookmarked on my computer and Webster's New World Dictionary is on my shelf. It's not the only one, of course, but I have no problem with it.

Belly, I have www.m-w.com bookmarked on my computer and Webster's New World Dictionary is on my shelf. It's not the only one, of course, but I have no problem with it.

I have The American Heritage Dictionary of the English Language, which is descriptive rather prescriptive. I also use the accompanying American Heritage Book of English Usage, which I find very practical.

the ones you've been told are good, but they are not for learners. Merriam Webster is very good to check how words are pronounced in AmE, though.

Oxford Advanced Learner's Dictionary and Longman dictionary of Contemporary English cover both British and American English. Longman and Cambridge also publish a couple of dictionaries that only focus on American English, so you might b
