Amercan English equivalent of British word 'subway'

Hi,

Quick question. In British English, a tunnel specifically for pedestrians and/or cyclists is called a subway. I've been searching for the American equivalent, but so far, to no avail. Does anyone know what it's called?

Thanks in advance.
