Amenities vs. facilities

What's the difference, if any, between amenities and facilities? I'm thinking particularly of those in a hotel or resort. I've looked up some dictionaries but the definitions overlap.

Also, what about services such as a 24-hour concierge and a shuttle? Do they fall under amenities or facilities?

Thanks.

Good question. Both terms might fall under what is known as 'Hospitality Industry" jargon. In your example, and under the context of a hotel, I would say that a facility (or facilities) refers is a physical attribute of the hotel (its golf course, its spa, its swimming pool, its meeting rooms, its gym, its restaurants, etc).
