Hello everyone,
we all knwo the expression "to amend the legal document/regulation etc.". I was wondering if I can use the verb "to amend" with any other (less official) type of document or a text?
I've got an updated/modified advertising text in German to be translated into English. The older version of this text has already been translated by me in the past, so I only have to update/change my old translation in accordance with the new German version.
So, can I say: to amend the English version of an advertising text according to the latest changes?
Are there other ways to express that?
to incorporate changes into the English version in accordance with...?
to adjust the English version according to the latest changes?
to update the English version according to the latest changes?
Please, correct me if I'm wrong.

"update" includes the idea of incorporating all the latest changes. You don't need to mention "according to the latest changes".

Yes, I know that "update" contains all that. In my work it is, however, sometimes required to explicitly underline the revision no. according to which a certain translation should be updated.
