AmE counterparts

I'm looking for AmE counterparts of these BrE informal words.

1. grass (on somebody) - tell the police or authorities that someone has done something wrong

2. flog - to sell

3. nick - to steal something

4. nick - to arrest someone

5. doll up - to make someone look attractive

I heard these words in Only fools and horses so I know they're are all relatively common in casual conversation.

Right now, I can only think of "collar" and "bust"for #4 and "rat on" for #1.

Thanks

4. To nail a perp (perpetrator)
5. To dress up (nice), to pimp up someone (more pejorative)
American TV uses "collar" a great deal when speaking about arresting someone.

Thanks, John. "**** off on someone" is a new one for me. I usually hear "pimp up" when talking about cars, I don't know why. I think I've also heard "spruce up"

Aha. I don't bother watching TV. To me, it's a brain-numbing waste of time.
I'd rather be taking a walk, reading a book, or visiting a museum or friends.

1: Narc
2: If you are selling something to cheat somebody, AmE would say "to rip someone off".
3: To add, shoplifting is sometimes called "five-finger discount".
4: Collar would be something that law enforcement would say, others would use "bust" more often.
5: Old slang, but I've heard "glam". "Makeover" for women. "Pimp" means to make something very ostentatious.

Thank you all. Your suggesstions have been great.

I have just one more question for Vorpar.

Does "narc" have to do with snitching on someone who is a drug trafficker? (I've only ever heard of "narc" as a noun)

Narc originally meant "narcotics agent", an undercover cop that would bust drug dealers/traffickers. Today, it can mean someone that snitches on any crime, or be used as a verb (to narc on someone). It is slang, though.
