ambulation and mobility

Please tell me what are the differences between 'ambulation' and' mobility'? Are they synonyms? (As far as I know both words refer to the ability to move easily). Thanks for your help

It depends on the context. Mobility is the ability to move (which could include just the arms, for instance), while ambulatio n means walking, specifically.
