Ambiguity solved by context

?C. I'm a police officer and last night I got a missing person report, but I was able to easily find the woman, tracking the locations that her smartphone automatically saved.

Q1) Is example C correct English?

Q2) Does "tracking the locations that her smartphone automatically saved" unambiguously modify "I"?

Q3) In this case, I don't think that the comma plays an important role because according to context, "tracking" unambiguously modifies "I", not "the woman". Am I right?

I'd say yes to the three questions
