Ambiguity

Yesterday, I had this class of financial management, and the professor was discussing a problem in the class. The problem was to make comments on the decision making capability of any person. As financial management is all about dealing with economic turbulences, and professor-students generally make this sort of discussion in the class. But this one was slightly different. It had a problem related to shares and value prediction. We were discussing four different cases. None of which were closely related to each other. Case one was about making a risk free investment in share market with minimum return. Case two was all about investing in shares with high rate of return and high risk factor. Case three was an intermediate case made from the former two cases. The last one was a special case which had no risk factor but minimum return among the rest three. After having a rational discussion, professor raised an open air question for students to comment. It was this step that resulted in witty responses. Personally, it is a human tendency to make use of opportunities when you just have to think positively without investing a single penny in reality. In imagination, folks can create a hill from mustard seeds, which in real world does not exist. This was exactly what happened in the class. All the comments had millions and billions of virtual dollars to prove which out of the four cases was good. But in the end, we all agreed to the point that the proficiency of these cases depends on person to person.
