Am I supposed to be scared? ['Cause I'm not.]

A: How can you fire me just because I have a crush on Kelly?
B: Because I like her, too. If you're not here, she'll foll for me.
A: You know what? You're going to pay for this.
B: Am I supposed to be scared? 'Cause I'm not.

I don't think "Because I'm not" is compatible with the former sentence.
So I'd like to know why "Because I'm not," not "Though I'm not."
Thank you in advance for your help.
