The Entrance Examinations act as a scrutiny on the academic ability of each and every student, ensuring that the cream of the crop are being selected. On the same platform, they prepare the students for the challenges that lie ahead.

Good start here Bart. Let me give you a few suggestions before I correct your essay. Always begin a sentence with a capitol. Look your essay over and you will find a number of such mistakes. Never use the letter "u" for the word "you." The word "English" is alway capitalized. Be sure you can defend what you say. For instance, can you cite reasons why "Entrance examinations are . . . at time, unfair"? How can you support your assertion that "More often than not, luck can be said to play an instrumental role . . .." When you express an opinion as a fact, beware. You reader will immediately know that you don't know what you are talking about and will stop reading. You teacher will likely also give you a lower grade. Express opinions as opinions as you will see below.
