Am I right?

My friend says that "barely" is an adverb of frequency that is used to express a repeated action in the present, but I don't think " barely" is an adverb of frequency. Am I right?

Omar Ahmed I don't think "barely" is an adverb of frequency. It isn't. Take the example I barely know her .

Omar AhmedI don't think "barely" is an adverb of frequency.

It isn't. Take the example I barely know her. There is nothing remotely like frequency involved there.
