Am I pronouncing the dark /l/ correctly?

I am Chinese who can't pronounce the dark /l/ sound, and who can't even hear the dark /l/ sound. Every time a person says 'I'll' , I take it "eye-awe".

This is a poem I read, <I'll be there>

I used to pronounce the vowel 'aw' in place the /l/ sound. I pronounce 'I'll' as "eye-awe". But after learning <American Accent Training>, I know the way I pronounce /l/ is wrong. I tried hard to correct it, so I want to know if I made progress or not.
