Am I not or Aren't I?

All the people I have asked about this couldn't really give me a sure answer. Maybe this forums can help me.

I am a very lucky person, aren't I?

or

I am a very lucky person, am I not?

Both are correct.

The second (Am I not?) is more formal than the first one.
