00As personal goal to devote my life to find new ideas and methods in order to advance economic policy decisions on an international level and to foster a better future for the community, a solid academic foundation is very important for me. 02br

00My principal incentive is the eagerness to learn more about the fast growing economies of Asian countries and the economic policies and framework provided to sustain this development. I want to acquire a bigger picture of economic contexts and learn what lies beyond Europe and the US, as studies in Germany mainly focus on these countries. Considering e.g. China’s growth rate being the highest in the world with 10,7 % in 2006, it is obvious to me that contemporary economic education should not neglect the countries that are currently driving the world’s economy. 02br

00Similar programmes are offered to me in more convenient locations, but I choose XY as it is the central hub of this dynamic region, most exposed, agile and responsive to regional and global events. I am certain that the University XY given it’s scholastic and research excellence is the fertile ground I need to grow into a capable political economist. Furthermore, I would like to study in an international environment. I want to learn and work together with students and teachers from all over the world. 02br

00Given my educational background, I am confident that I can make a significant contribution to the classes and that I will gain a strong education of eastern economics. 00Apart from my academic qualifications, I also acquired more than 3 years of work experience in Project Management and Strategic Planning in various international advertising and communication agencies. In my career I learned to appreciate the skills only an academic education can provide, making me certain that I will be able to translate knowledge into action in my future development.02br

00Without the level of education the MEcon provides, I will be at a great disadvantage in entering and developing my career as an international political consultant or economic researcher as the programme equips students with substantial analytical, scientific and leadership skills.
