In a sentence: "Aimless am I" why am I construction is used? Why "I am" is not used?

That part is from a song.
"Aimless am I
listless I'm the blunt of the knife"
The same situation is with "Here am I".

It's called subject-verb inversion and is used for emphasis and/or other special effects.
It's not uncommon in poetry, songs, literature ... etc.
