Am becoming or have become

What is the differnce between ' have become' and " be becoming' in the following sentence?

I have written and I have become ( or am becoming?) more confident each time I write.

You could say

"I have written before and I am becoming more confident each time I write."
But it would be simplier to say: "I am becoming more confident each time I write."


Am becoming, because you are talking about an on-going process. You are not done growing in confidence.
