"Always" how to use it?

Some of my ESL Brazilian students are used to make sentences with "Always" meaning "not always' in a negative sentence.

For instance.

I don’t always drink beer.
We don’t always stay at school after class.

Is it a good English?

Thanks.

Hi,
Thanks for the help.

I
CalifJimIf you mean that the students use "not always" to mean "never", then you're talking about a different problem.
I mean, "I don´t always" has the same meanig of "not always". Is that correct ,so?

"I don't always" is "I do not always". The "do" is needed for grammatical reasons.

You can't say "I not always drink beer". You have to say "I do not always drink beer".
"do not" becomes "don't": I don't always drink beer.
