Alternatives to "hopefully"

I saw this definition in Longman Dictionary:
"hopefully = a way of saying what you hope will happen, which some people think is incorrect -> Hopefully, I'll be back home by ten o'clock."

What do you think about the definition? If I really should not use "hopefully", could you please suggest some alternatives? Thanks.

This use of "hopfeully" is so prevalent in conversational English that it is, in my opinion, pointless to try to battle against it. I think it's worth avoiding in formal written English though. You can usually use the verb "hope" instead.
