I have heard variants of "have" used like the following. Which one in the group is used in preference to the others?

Colloquially it seems most people use the second syntax of the following?
I have that.
I have got that.

When one would use the first one instead of the second? Some people say the first one is what most American adopt.
Do you have that?
Have you that?
