Alternative to "their" and "its"

I am finding some struggle while trying to reduce usage of "its" and "their" in academic writing. I know to use some conjunctions such as "therein" and "thereof". Therefore it is possible to reduce usage of "its" by using my current knowledge. But please someone tell me is their any other ways to eliminate the usage of "their" by using a conjunctions like above. Additionally, is their any other ways to mention "its"apart from two methods mentioned.
