Alternative sentence.

Please check these sentences out:

1) He got drunk with Barley.

2) He got drunk on Barley.

I am sure the first sentence is correct, but is the second one fine too? The reason I formulated the second sentence that way was because I have heard people say "he got high on some drug" I used the same logic up there. But I'm not sure if it's right..

Thanks

I thought Barley might be a name, or a misspelling of Barney, in which case the first sentence would be the correct one. Emotion: smile
