Alternative expressions to "I'm here to..." "I came to..."

Everytime I go to a post office or wherever the place I have to ask the staff for a favor,

I usually start the asking by saying, "I'm here to(send out a mail overnight)" or "I came to(have my eyes examined)" Are these normal daily expressions that natives use too?

What about these?

a) "let me have...." instead of "can I have..."

b) "one of this soda" instead of "a bottle of soda"

c) "are you lined up?" instead of "are you on line?"

If you are at the post office, you are not asking for a favour, you are asking for service. They are there to help you. "How much is it to send this overnight?" or "Can you tell me how much it would cost to send this overnight?" As for seeing an optometrist, for example, "I'm here to..." is fine. If you have an appointment, tell them you do. "Hi. I have am appointment with Dr.
