Already(chess)

Hi.
What does it mean if two squares 'are already considered part of White's territory'?
Does Already mean 'before now'?Why are they followed by present tense then?

Thanks in advance

I would guess that it means that those two squares are thoroughly controlled by White, presumably because White is in a position to capture any piece Black moves there, and perhaps capture any of Black's pieces that then take White's piece on that square.
