Already with Present Simple

Tell me whether is it uses the 'already' with present Simple because I always thought that it's Present Perfect or Past Simple word.
"You already give me the green light" Is this sentence correct ?

I thought so too but I was surprised when I heard it in the well-known song.

Oh my heavens! You thought that songs would model proper grammar? Stop thinking that immediately.

When you see that type of error in the New York Times or on the BBC's Web site, ask! But anything in a song? Don't spend a moment thinking about it.

Hi, GG.
I'd be inclined to use it also with present continuous: You're already showing signs of weakining.

That's a typo -- it should be "I had already had dinner..."

[Y]Ouch! You're right.
But as I think about it, she probably meant "I had already prepared/fixed/made dinner etc."

She had not planned on eating alone.

I believe it will be correct if you change "give" to "given".

You need a helper there (auxilliary verb).

You have/had already given me the green light.
You can also put "already" before the verb, but it's less common:
You already had given me the green light.

GG mentioned that the perfect tens
