Already and Yet

Hi. I think there is a difference between the two. I think the first sentence with the word "already" requires some prior context to lay out the situation that will sort of make it right to use the word "already." As with no. 2, I think the word "yet" with present perfect correct (OK?) in just about any normal sentential situations.

1. Have you done your homework already?

2. Have you done your homework yet?
