Hello.May I replace 'already' with 'now' in:

'it is already too late'

Yes, but the structure of the sentence would change to: "Now it is too late." or "It is too late now."

'it is already too late'
You may make that replacement; however, you will remove from the original (with 'already') the nuance that the speaker's awareness of being too late occurred sooner than he expected it.
