Already

Hi.

In which tenses can we use already? What about before?

I would be grateful if you explain using examples.

Thanks

Hi I do not possess a definite knowledge on what you have asked. However I think we can use already with prefect tenses as, She has already been to this city. She was anxious about the admission but her uncle had already reserved a seat for her.

  • Before: It indicates the time before past that is in past perfect.
  • This sentence, I think, explains this: She met that doctor at the airport.
